Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, who will present you with a traditional Rudraksha mala, symbolizing peace and devotion. Today's journey is extensive yet fulfilling, spanning 510 km over roughly 9 hours. You'll traverse the expansive Tibetan plateau, ascending the Mayum-La High Pass, which rises above 5000 meters.

The road guides you toward the revered Lake Manasarovar (4600m), as you circle the lake, you'll be captivated by its crystal-clear blue waters framed by the majestic Mount Kailash.

According to Hindu lore, Lake Manasarovar was formed by Lord Brahma and is thought to wash away one's sins with a holy dip. Upon reaching Chiu Gompa, a quaint monastery overlooking the lake, you will check into a guesthouse for the evening. Dinner will be served at the guesthouse, allowing you to rest in this sacred setting for the night.

Today marks the start of the Kailash Parikrama.

After breakfast, you drive 8 km (30 minutes) to Yama Dwar, the gateway to the divine trek. Here, you get the closest view of Mount Kailash’s south face.

From Yama Dwar, you begin the 14 km trek to Diraphuk (4950m), which takes approximately 5-6 hours. The trail follows the Lha Chu River, offering incredible views of Kailash’s north face. Those unable to do the trek return to Darchen and stay at the hotel.

Today presents the most demanding and spiritually meaningful segment of the Kailash Parikrama, as you trek from Diraphuk (4950m) to Zuthulphuk (4850m), passing through the Dolma La Pass (5600m).

The journey starts early in the morning with a steep ascent towards Dolma La, the highest and most revered point of the trek.At the pass, you'll find fluttering prayer flags and the tranquil waters of Gauri Kunda, a sacred site where it is said that Goddess Parvati takes her bath. After offering your prayers, you will begin the challenging descent, navigating carefully over loose stones and icy patches.

The scenery transitions from snow-covered ridges to a desolate valley, ultimately leading you to Zuthulphuk. There, you have the opportunity to visit the renowned Milarepa Cave, linked to the revered Tibetan saint.

Today marks the conclusion of this sacred pilgrimage around Mount Kailash as you complete the final leg of the Kailash Kora. Upon arriving in Darchen, you reunite with your group at the base camp Darchen.

After refreshing , you hop into your vehicle and start the return journey, traversing the expansive Tibetan plateau towards Saga (4400m), covering approximately 490 km in 8 hours. Along the route, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Brahmaputra River, high-altitude deserts, and snow-capped mountains.

A packed lunch is provided during the road trip, and by evening, you reach Saga where you can indulge in a hot meal and much-needed rest.

After an early breakfast, you head towards the Rasuwagadhi border (15 km, 45 minutes), where you will complete the required immigration and customs formalities on both the Tibetan and Nepali sides.

Upon crossing the border into Nepal, you continue this awesome drive through the Trishuli River valley, passing stunning terraced farmlands, rolling hills, and himalayan villages.

We pause for lunch at a local restaurant to savor authentic Nepali cuisine before continuing the drive to Kathmandu.

After the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, this is the final evening in Kathmandu . Travelers can choose to rest and relax or explore the local scene before departing the next day. One can also choose to extend the trip. More on that if it interests the guest.
