  • Average walking distance is 7- 8 km each day and trekkers complete in 5-7 hrs. Please refer to the trek itinerary for more details.

  • This is a guided tour, so no worries about safety!

  • Vegetarian food will be served throughout the trek. Breakfast varies from bread and butter, semia, poha and cornflakes etc. Lunch mainly comprises of roti or puri with sabzi. Dinner is complete with Dal, rice, roti and dessert. Dry ration of biscuits and toffees will be provided as well. You may carry nuts and dry fruits if necessary.

  • The guest house at Lohajung will have concrete toilets. During the trek, toilet tents will be set up along each campsite. A toilet tent will have a deep pit, where one can answer nature’s call. There will be a mound of soil and a shovel to cover it up. These are dry toilets, where you’ll have to use toilet paper. This is the most hygienic and convenient way to answer nature’s call in the wild. Please use plain toilet paper and refrain from using wet wipes since these are not biodegradable.

  • Ecohunters must receive notification of cancellation in writing. After we receive your written cancellation, the money shall be refunded to the trekkers on seeking cancellation as follows:

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trek 95% refund of total amount (Note: If the trek charges are more, the balance needs to be paid by the trekker)

  • Cancellation prior to 25 days from the start of the trek 70% refund of total amount

  • Cancellation prior to 15 days from the start of the trek 50% refund of total amount.

  • Cancellation prior to 10 days from the start of the trek Transfer your trek (same trek, same batch) to your friend. No cash refund.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Getting to Lohajung

Arrive early at Kathgodam railway station and drive to Lohajung (transportation included) . The drive will take approximately 9 to 10 hours. Breakfast and Lunch will be on the way at a roadside inn (exclusive of charges. )The route passes through many beautiful hill stations like Bhimtal, Almora and Kausani. You drive alongside local rivers and get views of many peaks like Kamet, Nanda Ghunti, Trishul, and Nanda Devi amongst others. Arrive at your base camp, Lohajung by the evening. It is a small town with very basic facilities available. Dinner and overnight stay at Lohajung.
Day 02

Lohajung to Bekaltal

Today our trek begins from Lohajung market and we will move upwards to the Bekaltal passing through few villages, thick oak and rhododendron forests, water streams, bridges etc. After a short trek, spot Mundoli village on your left where you can fill your water bottles and take a little break. Today’s trek will take around 05 hours to reach our campsite. The whole area gets covered in snow in winters, and the lake will be found partially frozen.
Day 03

Bekaltal to Brahmatal

Today our trek will start with Initial steep climb for an hour, which opens out to a meadow (today’s highest point 11,500 ft) from where begins a slow descent to Brahmatal. Make sure that you fill your water bottles before starting the trek since this will be a long day. Due to snow it might take longer to reach the destination. Our Brahmatal campsite will be just 300 meters away from the lake.
Day 04

Brahmatal to Brahmatal Peak and back

Today we will climb Brahmatal Peak and will return back to the campsite at Brahmatal. The time taken to reach the summit is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. As you reach the summit, an entire panorama of mountains opens up offering splendid views of the mighty Himalayas especially Chaukhambha, Mandir, Mana, Nilgiri, Neelkanth, Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, Maitoli and mountains stretching all the way to the Panchachuli range.
Day 05

Brahmatal to Lohajung ( Via Daldum)

Today we will descent back to Lohajung through a different forest trail passing by several mountain villages on the slopes, the descent will be for 6-7 hours. Descend will take less time and the day is not that exhaustive. We return back to Lohajung and have plenty of time and energy to share photographs among the group and celebrate our amazing trek. Overnight stay at Lohajung. Lunch will be in the city at a beautiful water body. We now have an evening of chatter , swapping stories and pics before we end our trip and head back home.
Day 06

Lohajung to Kathgodam

On day six, you will trace back your route from Lohajung to Kathgodam . As we continue driving on for around 8 to 9 hours, you will reach Kathgodam to end the trek.
