Itinerary
Travel notes of the day
A private A/C sedan awaits your arrival at Veer Sarvakar International Airport, Port Blair. After a hearty lunch, you will set off for Chidiya Tapu, also known as 'Bird Island'.
The drive is sure to leave you spellbound, with views of the sparkling, blue ocean.
Enclosed by lush green forests and dense mangrove trees rising from the wet soil, Chidiya Tapu is a birder's haven with a hoard of different species of birds, both endemic and migratory. Keep on the lookout for birds, take a dip in the waters, or simply sunbathe in the white sands.
Welcome to Port Blair!
Today we spend most our day at Chidiya Tapu, one of the (many) beautiful Emerald Islands of the Andaman. Be one with nature and loll about on the sandy shores. Watch as the skies are bathed in shades of orange and pink - the sunset here is unmatched.
Chidiya Tapu at Andaman and Nicobar Islands is situated about 25 kilometers from Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is the southern most tip of the South Andaman Islands.
We return to Port Blair to spend the night at the hotel.

Travel notes of the day
Today we head to Mount Harriet, the third highest peak in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago. It is home to the Mount Harriet National Park, which boasts of a treasure trove of wildlife and vegetation.
A British soldier, Robert Christopher Tytler was a avid nature enthusiast and photographer. It is interesting to note that Mt. Harriet has been named after his wife, Harriet.
Enjoy a laid-back afternoon of shopping and local sight seeing.
Mount Harriet offers a sweeping view of Port Blair and the adjoining islands. We trek a little, amidst green canopies and come across a variety of flora and fauna, including some rare butterflies! As a matter of fact, the image on the back of the old, red Indian 20 rupee banknote is that of a scenic view that one can glimpse on the way to Mt. Harriet.
The afternoon entails a visit to the Sagarika Cottage Industries Emporium for a little shopping. You can buy an assortment of souvenirs, trinkets and Indian handicrafts made by local artisans.
Once again, you will spend the night in Port Blair.

Travel notes of the day
After a filling breakfast, we leave for a day's excursion to Jolly Buoy Island or Red Skin Island.
These islets are accessible only during the months of May to October and are closed to tourists on Mondays. They are a part of the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, protected by the Andaman administration.
The shallow and almost still waters of the beach make it the ideal place for a spot of snorkeling and swimming, and not to forget sunbathing!
Discover the world of marine life, from coral reefs to colourful fishes swimming about in the clear, azure water. Get ready for a ride in a glass-bottom boat to get a closer look at the deep red coral reefs (hence the name) and aquatic life.
Expect short walks/treks in the course of the day.
