Travel notes of the day
Today is rather easy-going. After spending most of the morning at the beach, we hop on a ferry for Neil Island, where we will be spending the next night in a beach resort.
Unlike Havelock, Neil is a slightly secluded island. There are a handful of restaurants and basic beach hotels that dot the shores at Neil.
After some rest, we go on a beach hopping trip to some of Neil Island's seashores - Laxmanpur beach, Sitapur beach and Bharatpur beach.
Laxmanpur beach is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. One can spot fisherman taking out their boats to sea early in the morning. The coral, the seashells and the starfish that wash up on the shores are testimony to the extent of biologically diversity in the ocean. A visit to the wondrous Natural Bridge is a must. Also known as the Howrah bridge, it is a natural bridge formation moulded by the accumulation of rocks and dead coral.
Popular for its charming sunset, Sitapur beach's silvery sands provide a quiet retreat to relax and unwind.
Stroll along the shores of Bharatpur beach, a favourite amongst tourists. Ideal for watersports and swimming, as well as for some photography. Build sandcastles or grab a frisbee or volleyball to make the most of what is, our last stop for the day.
We drive back to the resort, tanned and traveled!
Settle in and spend some time lounging in the resort, and take advantage of the amenities at your disposal.
After some lazing, let's go beach hopping to Inland seashores of Neil - Laxmanpur beach, Sitapur beach and Bharatpur beach.Rejuvenate your body and mind by embarking on this beach hopping excursion around Neil Island.
