We proceed to Mirissa however before reaching Mirissa we explore Bentota which is a popular beach town in Srilanka

We stop at the beach in Bentota and enjoy some water sports like Windsurfing, Jet Skiing, Kite Surfing, Kayaking , Canoeing or simply soak in the views and sun bathe.

Proceed to Madu Ganga Boat Ride ( Bentota )

The estuary of the Madu Ganga River is a complex coastal ecosystem of mangroves and islands. It may be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangirve forests in Sri Lanka. A boat trip is a wonderful way of seeing variety of species of flora and fauna such as mponkeys eating fruit in the trees, a water monitor lizard , , cormorants , egrets , kingfishers and more

Turtle Hatchery ( Bentota)

Kosgoda is famous for its sea turtle conservation project operated by the Wild Life Protection Society of Sri Lanka. Established in 1988 to protect Srilanka’s turtles from extinction. It has released about 3.5 million turtles into the wild till date. The hatchery pays fishermen for eggs that they collect during night.

After a day of exploration at Bentota we proceed to our destination for the day – Mirissa

Mirissa is a beach town on Sri Lanka's southern shores, Mirissa is renowned for its Mirissa Beach, nightlife, and whale and dolphin watching. The stunning Mirissa Beach is also a popular site for water sports, such as surfing and snorkelling. Post Whale watching experience explore the beach night life at Mirissa.

The world's largest blue whale colony is in Sri Lanka. They feed on tiny plank tonic crustaceans’ krill. These foods are available in large quantities in the Indian Ocean.

The whales are marine mammals of the order cetacean having a stream lined body and horizontal tail and breathing air through a blow whole on the head. The weight of the matured blue whale is about 200 tons. The length is around 27-30 meters.

If you do not opting to go on Whale watching you can enjoy the day at Mirissa on your own pace.

Galle Fort, in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, and then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.
