Today is a day of relaxation and unwinding from your travel to the starting point of your trip. A tranquil day while you prepare yourself for your journey through the rich abundance the land has to offer.
Welcome to Yangon, a rich cultural destination of Myanmar.
We begin your trip with your arrival to Yangon International Airport. Here you will be greeted by your Ecohunters' tour guide. From the airport you will be escorted to your choice of star accommodation, where you can enjoy some leisure time while you rest up for your travel through the cultural heartlands of Myanmar.

We Begin the day with a leisurely walking tour of Yangon from the Sule Pagoda to the Maharbandoola Park that houses the 48 meters large golden dome. You are then taken to the heart of the city to indulge your senses in a culturally rich shopping experience at the Bogyoke or Scott market, known for the abundant Myanmars handicarfts and gem shops.
The tour then takes you to the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha temple in Bahan Township of Yangon. The temple is known to houses one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in the country that runs 66 meters long, forming one of the largest images of Buddha in Myanmar otherwise known as Burma.
Indulge your taste buds to a decadent meal of local classics such as Faluda, Mohinga, Por Offal, Shan Noodles and Mandalay Beer.
After lunch, the tour continues to the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda that dates back to about 2600 years and is enshrined with 8 sacred hairs of the Buddha. This Pagoda is claimed to be the world richest golden dome that is about 99 meters long and the sides of which are coated with 60 tons of pure gold.
End your day at the Kandawgyi Par, nestled by the quaint Kandawgyi Lake, said to mirror the innumerable colors of the sky. Post the relaxing evening at the lake you are guided back to the hotel where you’ll stay the night.

Your day begins with you being taken to the Airport for your flight to Nyaung U, and then driven to Bagan where you will check into your hotel.
Once at Bagan you are taken on a guided tour of the city also known as the land of thousands antiquated pagodas
Take in the grandiose of the temples at Bagan – witness the Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Temple, Gubyaukgyi Temple, Htilominlo Temple and the Sulamani Temple
Unwind as you are taken back to the hotel to relax and replenish your energies for the next day
Your day begins with a a scrumptious breakfast, after which you are transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Nyaung U, 10 Kms drive from the city of Bagan. As you arrive, you will be escorted to your Hotel at Bagan, by our very own Ecohunter’s tour guide to freshen up and keep your luggage.
Once settled in begin your exploration of the city of Bagan also known as the land of thousands antiquated pagodas and lush foliage.
Start our trip by visiting the Shwezigon Pagoda, the first gold pagoda built in Burma enshrining Gautama Buddha's relics, followed by your visit to the Ananda Temple, home to of four larger than life standing statues of Buddha, each facing in one of the four cardinal directions.
Continuing the exploration and discovery of Myanmar’s rich cultural and religious history the tour takes you to the Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba - an Indian style pagoda built in the year 1113 whose exterior seems to be untouched by environmental forces.
Experience the calming bliss of the Htilominlo Temple whose name means "blessings of the three worlds" housing four images of Buddha facing in the four cardinal directions followed by a trip to the Sulamani Temple - a Buddhist edifice rebuilt in the year 1994

Begin your day with a trip to Bagan’s very own lacquerware workshop to experience the art of curating your own little souvenir.
Visit the Dhammayazika, a five-sided pagoda complex that houses small Buddha temples on each of its sides.
The day ends as you are escorted back to the Nyaung U airport for your flight back to Yangon
Indulge your senses to a wide spread of Burmese and Chinese delicacies local to the region as you unwind from your experiences of the day
While in Bagan you can’t help but notice the incredible and colourful collection of lacquer-ware throughout the city. Ecohunter’s, as a part of your tour, brings to you an authentic experience of curating your own little souvenir in a Lacquer-ware workshop hosted and taught by a village expert.
The cultural immersion continues with a visit to Dhammayazika. The Dhammayazika Pagoda is a Buddhist temple located in the village of Pwa Saw, east of Bagan. The temple built in the year 1196 during the reign of King Narapati Sithu, is circular in design, made of bricks. Its three terraces contain terra cotta tiles illustrating scenes from the Jataka.
The day ends as you are escorted back to the Nyaung U airport for your flight back to Yangon
